<3 Besame Cosmetics Crimson Cream Rouge <3

I received a small sample of this amazing product in, I think, my July Beauty Army box (beauty sampling subscription, beautyarmy.com). I was really excited to try it, and it did not let me down :) 

     This product is a rich creamy rouge that is highly pigmented, soft, very blend-able, long lasting, and has a pretty deep red color that can be blended out to be pink for cheeks or more concentrated red for lips. A little teensy bit of this product goes a really long way! It comes in this beautiful red and gold re-usable tin that I absolutely adore. It's vintage style and it's all natural as well. My sample jar is still lasting me, and I keep that in my purse now. I actually bought the product as well, and I keep that in my bathroom cabinet (it's so pretty!).  I use it every single day! It really is something that I love because it's a dual-purpose product as it works to rosy up your cheeks AND lips. It looks really good and it really does last all day :)

Softlips Products Review

 

Recently I was lucky enough to receive their Watermelon flavor from Softlips to try out and review!! I also wanted to throw in a couple other products that I think are absolutely noteworthy in the Softlips line, which are the Pure line Pomegranate flavor and the Softlips Pearl Gloss. THANK YOU, SOFTLIPS!


The Watermelon flavor is pure awesome-ness. Let me start by saying that this is a fan-picked flavor, meaning that we all voted, and Softlips made it for us! I think it is just a seasonal flavor, but it's good enough to be made an all-time flavor, in my opinion.

When you open it up, the smell is divine. Just like watermelons in summer. Then you put it on your lips and notice that it still has the signature under-minty taste, but that the force is strong with watermelon. It's delicious! Perfect for summer. It is moisturizing and smoothing, and has such a nice soft texture! I've been using Softlips lip balms since I was about 6 or 7 years old, and they have always been so amazing. It gives you a little bit of a soft sheen, too, so your lips look only the slightest bit moist :) Easy and fun to apply, cute packaging, and just a really nice, subtle flavor, but good smell of watermelon!

Next we have the Pure Pomegranate, and the fun thing about this one is it comes from Softlips's "Pure" line of lip balms that are made with only natural and organic ingredients! I love this one! It doesn't have the signature under-minty taste, and it is so smooth and delicious. This one is a bit thicker than the original formula, which is fantastic in my opinion. I love both! In fact, I might even say that I like the Pure a little better! It's really quite soothing and wonderful. If you use lip balm all the time, I would absolutely recommend this one, because it lasts a little longer and is a little thicker and feels really good! And obviously I love that it's all natural and organic:) I even love the packaging!

And finally we have the Pearl gloss! This is a new item, and they also came out with a Coral color, but I have yet to test that one out! The Pearl gloss is really nice because it's a soft sheer pink, it's not sticky at all, and leaves a nice (not TOO glossy) gloss on your lips. It is also moisturizing and protecting, with an SPF of 10. I am going to be using this a lot now that fall/winter are quickly coming on! (I'll also be using the balms a lot, but I do that anyway lol). This lovely gloss also smells like vanilla cupcakes :) A really nice gloss and the price is absolutely right! They have really affordable lip care, guys, this stuff is amazing and affordable!!


My story with Softlips:
When I was really young, I went about once a month to visit my aunt in Houston (from Austin). And we'd go shopping, watch movies, and hang out. She ALWAYS had at least a couple of Softlips tubes on hand, and Softlips was my VERY FIRST lip "gloss" (as she called it). So I started using Softlips at a young age and never lost my love for it! It really is perfect as a little girls first "makeup". I continued to use Softlips ever since!!! So I always think about my Aunt Ann when I use them :)

Evologie Blemish Clearing Duo Review

Evologie had a sample giveaway recently, and they were kind enough to send me some samples of their Stay Clear Cream and Intensive Blemish Serum to try out and review, because they're so awesome!!

These two products have been working great for me! I started using them about a week ago now, and they have kept my skin clear and beautiful!

*A little background on my skin: I have a "normal" skin type, maybe leaning a little on the oily side. But I normally have clear, soft skin that isn't dry or too oily, either. But when I go on vacation or road trips, and I happen to go to a different climate, my skin freaks out a little bit!!! Recently, my husband and I took a trip down to Austin, TX, which is where we're both from. My skin, which is now used to Fort Collins, CO, (pretty dry and cool) weather, started to get uber oily and weird (it's very humid and muggy in Austin). By the time we were heading home, I had quite a few breakouts. My skin slowly started to recover after we got home, and then I saw Evologie's sample giveaway, and it was actually just what I had been looking for!! I had been wanting a blemish serum and a blemish cream to top it off.

Well, I received the sample duo (thank you, Evologie!) and started using them right away. With daily cleansing, this duo made my skin quickly clear up and go back to normal.

You're supposed to use the serum as a little spot-treatment on your individual blemishes, which is great because a little goes a long way!!! You can put one little dot on your finger, and then dot that on each blemish you have and it'll coat each one. This works really well.
Then you apply the cream to the whole face, or cover your t-zone and problem areas with it. I love the consistency of it, and this cream also goes a long way with only a little. It doesn't leave my face feeling weird, in fact, it leaves it feeling smooth and good, and even moisturized! I've really enjoyed using these products, and am very much thinking about getting the full-sized products to continue using! They're that good!!

For someone who only has occasional breakouts, having something like this around is really great. I can use the cream to keep my skin clear and healthy and beautiful, and I can use the serum on the rare occasions that I have some big bad blemishes!!! Thank you Evologie!

POWBAB Superfruit Chew Review!!

powbab Superfruit Chews are amazing little dietary supplements made from the African fruit from the Baobab tree! You're supposed to take one chew per day, and it boosts your immunity, slows oxidative damage and reduces inflammation! powbab was generous enough to send me a few samples to try, and I'd like to tell you about my experience and about the chews!

Baobab has 2.5 times more antioxidants than pomegranates and has been eaten for thousands of years by Africans for nutrition.

I got the pomegranate/acai berry flavor, and I have to say: I totally wish you were supposed to have more than one per day!!! These tiny chews pack a flavorful punch. You just unwrap the little silver wrapper on the chew, and on the inside is a small square, beautiful pinkish red fruit chew that tastes sweet and tart, has the perfect consistency, and is over all too quick! I like to savor it, and chew it for a while so that I can get all the taste and (in my mind) release all the vitamins! I really love the flavor and the chewiness. 

powbab is gluten, dairy, soy, nut, and egg FREE. It doesn't have salt, synthetic flavors, or preservatives either! They are also vegan and use fair trade practices! A little note on the Baobab tree: "Baobab, an ancient superfruit, is known as "The Tree of Life" in Africa. The health benefits, the taste, the convenience, and basically everything about this product makes it perfect for someone like me who hates taking pills and always forgets my vitamins. It would never be difficult for me to forget to eat a powbab chew!!!

Black Widow Balm Review!

Black Widow Balm was nice enough to send me one of their tinted lip balms to test out and review. The color/flavor I got was ORB which is a delicate, coral-y pink color and has lavender and sweet almond essential oils in it. This is what it says on the website:

This lip balm is so amazing!!! It has the perfect color for my skin tone, it is very moisturizing and soft. The texture is great, not too slippery but not too thick, either. I love the fragrance, as well, very calming and delicate. I've never tried a tinted lip balm like this before. It glides on so smoothly, and the color payoff is good while not being too heavy. You can layer for more color, but I find that the first application is enough!! It doesn't send that weird flavor down your throat like other lip balms sometimes do. The balm is a lovely color, a great scent, and absolutely moisturizes and protects your lips. I would recommend this balm to any lady who loves tinted lip balms!!! It's really perfect because you can take it everywhere, use it for a balm, but add a little color and glamour wherever you are!!! Thank you so much, Black Widow Balm!
